アルマスギャラリーでは12月13日から2015年2月7日まで、高橋大輔の個展を開催いたします。
高橋は東京造形大学を卒業後、埼玉にアトリエを構え制作を行っています。
大学在学中には全身に絵具を塗り、地面に広げたブルーシートの上を転げ回った痕跡を
作品として提示したり、アクリル絵の具による抽象画を多数制作するなど
常に先人の仕事を視野に入れながら作品制作を行ってきました。
既に厚塗りの抽象画で知られる高橋ですが、
そのスタイルには油絵具との出会いが大きく貢献しています。
絵画を描く上で常に繰り返される、色彩や筆致との応答の積み重ね、否定と肯定。
それらの行為に質量を伴わせる事が可能になった時、現在のスタイルが始まったと言えるでしょう。
チューブから出す、伸ばす、あるいはそのまま配置する。塗り付ける、または画面上で混ぜ合わせる。
色彩の配置を観察し、ある色を隠蔽しある色は残す。
剛胆な筆致に隠れたこういった繊細な思考が、
高橋の作品を絵具の塊から絵画へ立ち上がらせています。
今回展覧会のタイトルに冠した”アメシヤボ”は、長谷川利行がのこした
文章の一節に登場する言葉です。
特定の意味を持たないがゆえに、力強さが剥き出しとなったこの言葉に、
今展への意気込みを重ねています。
現時点での成果がその言葉に見合うかどうか、

Daisuke Takahashi “Ameshiyabo; There is something I want to see.”
A solo-exhibition by Daisuke Takahashi is being held from December 13 to February 7 at HARMAS GALLERY.
After graduating from Tokyo Zokei University, Daisuke Takahashi set up a studio in Saitama, where he still produces his art.
While in college he applied paint to his own body, rolled around on a blue tarp and exhibited the results as the final piece. He also produced many abstract paintings using acrylics. Daisuke always keeps in mind the achievements of his predecessors while making his art.
He’s well known for his thickly painted abstract paintings. This style was initiated and developed when he first started using oil paint.
His work shows an accumulation of responses to color and texture which he agrees or disagrees while he repeatedly applies paint to his canvases, building a thick impasto.
As the result of his actions, he creates paintings with a sense of mass. This is the beginning of a new technique and style for him.
He squeezes the paint, spreads it around or just leaves it as is. He smears and mixes it on the canvas.
He carefully observes the colors, concealing some and leaving some.
Subtle ideas are revealed by his dynamic touch, elevating his works from merely mounds of paint to high art.
The exhibition’s title, “Ameshiyabo,” is a word that was used by another painter, Toshiyuki Hasegawa, in his writing.
The word has no specific meaning. But for Daisuke Takahashi, it holds a naked strength that represents his own passion.
